People can say whatever they want but what you value is revealed in what you do. As a congregation we strive to live out several important Christian values.
Worship. We want to encounter God in worship. We are intentional in how we approach worship and believe every element of a service should foster a connection with God. We serve a risen Christ and we want everyone to meet Him! We sing both traditional hymns and contemporary songs of praise and we live in expectation of God’s manifest presence.
Scripture. We want to grow in our understanding of the Bible that we might live it out in our lives. We offer Bible-based Sunday School classes for all ages including 3 adult classes. We have small group home Bible studies in Fayetteville and Petersburg. And you can expect sermons to actually be rooted in the Word of God so that you might grow in every way–spiritually, relationally, emotionally, physically, morally, intellectually, vocationally, etc..
Church. We believe church should be a place where you grow in relationship with God and others and where you are equipped and given opportunity to serve others. In the Christ-centered life, appearances, rules and rituals are not as important as character, right relationships and service . You can benefit if you visit a church, but you grow most when you invest, engage and participate in a family of faith.
We strive to be a a place where a person with no church background can come and feel comfortable and enjoy the service because the atmosphere will be friendly. The sermons are practical, biblical and relevant. The music is uplifting and invites people to join in and sing.
As a church we endeavor to help every member find his or her ministry and empowers them use their gifts and abilities to minister to others. We believe the church is at her best when the doors are open to all of who have heard God’s invitation to love, grow and serve whether you are a mature Christian or not even sure you believe in God. Wherever you are on your faith journey our community is open to you.
