Out of concern for the prevention of the spread of the Coronavirus Covid-19 and consideration of the underlying health issues of many in our congregation, the Session of the Petersburg CP Church has voted to suspend all church services through the end of March. Church Members, As a result of the fellowship hall renovation, we have several items for sale. The three largest items are a refrigerator, a media cart (5 feet wide and 30 inches deep), and a set of Stetson china. A minimum bid for each of these items is $50. There are assorted other items as well which can be seen in the fellowship hall. These items will be available for a short time to members. Then the sale will be opened to the public. In partnership with Petersburg 1st Baptist, we hosted the 2018 Fall Festival of Faith on Saturday October 13th. The weather was wonderful and over a hundred people came out for hot dogs, chili and hay rides. A bunch of worn out kids slept well that night! Here are a few (unfortunately blurry) photos. Its was a great time and the bonfire was HUGE! A couple of local thespians provided a skit for the kids about “Tomorrow” (tomorrow is too late!) and Brother Taylor invited people to put their faith in Christ....
10-30-16 Mr. Doug Howard reaffirmed his faith in Jesus Christ and joined the Petersburg Cumberland Presbyterian Church today. Sunday September 25th, 2016 parents Lynn Beddingfield and Misty Armstrong presented their infant daughter WynterRose Ari’el Armstrong for baptism. She was welcomed into the family of faith and her parents and new church family pledged ourselves to praying for her and growing her up in the faith until she also accepts Christ as her Savior and Lord....
